CES 2022 Adds Two Surprising Inclusions to Tech Pavilions

Attendees at CES 2022 can check out two new tech pavilions this year: food tech and space tech, with the space tech pavilion including a showcase of the Dream Chaser spaceplane from Sierra Space.

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has announced that CES 2022  will introduce two new categories for the show – space tech and food tech. Exhibitors will showcase some of the innovations driving these industries and leaders will speak to the advancements and the global impact of these evolving sectors.

This year’s show is the perfect place to meet partners, customers, media and policymakers face to face. Attendees participate in an average of 33 meetings at CES, and according to Harvard Business Review, 95% of people say face-to-face meetings are critical to successfully building and maintaining business relationships.

“Every year, CES showcases the latest innovations from legacy and emerging technology sectors – and everything in between,” says Karen Chupka, EVP, CES, CTA. “Technology is propelling the space and food industries to new heights and CES is the perfect platform to showcase this growth and bring together our industry.”

Technology is advancing opportunities for space exploration and space living conditions. These advancements are creating new communications services and opening opportunities for new applications in biology, human health and more. For example, Sierra Space, a subsidiary of the Sierra Nevada Corporation, will showcase their latest innovation in space transportation – the Dream Chaser spaceplane.

Advancements in food technology will also be on display in Las Vegas. The category will address agriculture, ingredient innovation, meal kits and deliveries, nutrition, plant-based proteins, traceability, sustainability, vertical farming and more. Companies like Grov Technologies, Impossible Foods and John Deere will all be returning as exhibitors this year.

In the coming months, CTA will make additional announcements on thought leadership and new programs for CES 2022. CTA will also share what global audiences can expect from other facets of the consumer technology industry, including AI, AR/VR, XR/metaverse, gaming and computing, home entertainment, smart home and more. Attendees will see the latest in technology from companies including Amazon, AMD, Big Sun Holdings, Damon Motorcycle, EMD Performance Materials, Gigabyte, Hisense, Hyundai, IBM, Intel, LG Electronics, Panasonic, Procter & Gamble, Qualcomm, Quanergy, Samsung Electronics, Scosche, Sony, Targus, TCL, X-Chair and more.

Owned and produced by CTA, CES 2022 will convene the tech industry in-person and digitally, giving a global audience access to major brands and startups. CES heads back to Las Vegas from Jan. 5-8, 2022. Visit CES.tech for all CES 2022 updates.
