Penn Veterinary Supply Inc. announced a new partnership with Medici, an innovative, state-of-the-art telemedicine platform. Medici’s mobile app allows veterinarians to offer telehealth services to their patients from the convenience of their mobile phones. The veterinarian can text, call and video chat with clients, as well as receive uploaded images and videos of pets—all of which can be added to the medical record with the touch of a button.

Penn Veterinary Supply representatives will market Medici’s platform, “allowing veterinarians to meet demands and provide care in a simple way, without unnecessary exposure to COVID-19,” according to a release. Medici integrates secure communications between hospitals and clients with the ability to offer a convenient, modern way to visit with a doctor all while maintaining a Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR). It also allows hospitals to easily charge and collect consultation fees, providing another revenue source without any additional effort.

The Medici app is free for pet owners to begin using and allows veterinarians the freedom of setting their own telemedicine fees. Medici also covers the liability of offering virtual care by providing a $1 million insurance policy. Additional features such as Colleague Connect and Announcements provide veterinarians with the ability to consult with colleagues and to get messages out to all their patients in a fast, simple method.
