Pet owners who use the Petriage mobile app can now check in and out during curbside appointments and consult with veterinary professionals anytime by phone.
The new services build on the Bellevue, Washington, company’s free Pet Symptom Checker, which uses artificial intelligence to advise pet owners about the urgency of a cat or dog’s medical issue.
Petriage Curbside is available to pet owners whose veterinarian subscribes to the company’s telehealth platform. Petriage Live connects pet owners with a Petriage-affiliated veterinarian or veterinary technician for around-the-clock triage advice following the use of Pet Symptom Checker.
“These additional offerings and other innovative telehealth technologies and services we’re developing, including wearables and enhanced data analytics capabilities, will deepen the trust between pet owners and their vets and improve vets’ quality of life and practice effectiveness at a time when practices are under immense stress,” CEO Joe Coury said.
The Petriage telehealth platform is designed to integrate with practice management software systems. Contactless payment processing, appointment scheduling, customizable check-in forms, two-way messaging between the practice and pet owner, and live video chats are among the other features available to clients.
